Guys stop looking for miracles , that was obvious from the beginning that WB was scam Nobody can beat adsense that's for sure , and if any company can do it - it might be scam
Yes indeed, I have learned this first hand. I have always trusted a lot of great views by DPers, but it seems like I have to be more critical about it nowadays. I know that Widgetbucks was paying as close to Adsense as possible. Their reate PPC doesn't seem to be too off to me in my opinion at least the first week or so that I had them. But backdating and dropping rates is just pure fraud. Imagine all the publishers that run into them and just realized like myself that we're stuck? $50 minimum payout, so if they drop a few more cents we be putting the ads up just to hit that. Aiight, this will be my last speech of complaint so I won't get my account shut down for it for reals..lol.
widgetbucks is a load a crap. I dropped them after the 2nd week, when I noticed that my account of a few bucks had become like 5 cents, with no warning, no explanation, etc. Total scam.
Emailed them 3 days ago about click revenue decreasing dramatically, it said id get a response within 24 hours, still none. Real professional, eh?
They are Scam. I contacted them many times and they did not reply. In addition, they reduced my clicks from 33 cents to 4 cents without even telling me.
I removed their ads after the first few days because they were causing my sites to load so darn slow, I just couldn't deal with it. Plus, the ads look like crap anyway.
*sigh* I just signed up with them to replace one of my adbrite ad spots, which replaced my adsense spot. lol. I guess I will shift it back.
Classic one of another example which shows that Widgetbucks is a scam. I can understand how you feel bro, think about it...if you had 100 clicks you would have been sitting on $33 to now $4. I feel sorry for you bro, I think it just serves all of us as a reminder to be real careful next time. Unless they are a reputable reviewers here in DP or elsewhere we should really hold tight until some feedback from some of the members come out of it. I was thinking maybe I should keep my mouth shut because I might get banned but heck, if I get myself into so much trouble already who cares right? haha...ya guys beware of the scammer!
I have read I don't know how many different WB posts and I have yet to see anyone have anything positive to say. I'm glad though that people are getting the word out to others before more people get caught up in this mess.
I am hoping we will hear some good explanations from WB shortly. They seem to be attempting to communicate some thru their blog. SO far... I am not banned... and my CPC rate remains higher than NonSense.
Well, I don't think explanation is going to justify backdating in decreasing earnings? For me personally, I have lost over $70 due to them backdating. It's really not that much but I just want to make a statement and for everyone that's using them and for Widgetbucks themselves to see that this is just not the right practice period.
"I'm getting 40cents per click, and nothing has been reduced so far" how about now? my stats have gone from 3% ctr now down to exactly 0% and I'm talking about several thousand impressions a day, not a few dozen. The said they had a problem that only effected merchsense but it effected everything and ever since it registers 0 clicks. Chalk this up to another bad review. Seriously, especially when US advertisers target US traffic some enforcement agency needs to regulate this crap. I bet these are the same people who did Shitika. Just changed the package a little and re-ran the scam.
Thank God I saw this thread. I signed up for it and am still waiting for the activation email. After reading this, I am not going to bother with it.
I had about $6 earnings from WidgetBucks, and out of nowhere (I didn't remove the ads) they dropped ALL my earnings to $0.00 and did not pay me for anything. No pending payments, nothing.
They actually don't, they pay you around 60% or more of what the click sells for. If you are getting crappy clicks you have a crappy site.
