Beware of useless reciprocals

Earlier today I receive a link submission from http://www.yoursite.com where my reciprocal link is listed at http://www.yoursite.com/links.html with a bunch of other links as usual. When I searched the home page I found no link leading to the links page where my reciprocal is located. My questions are: How valuable could such a reciprocal link page like that be for my directory or are they just useless? Is it just a link farm cemetery? Will search engines spiders crawl that page since there's nothing linking to it?

all these website owners need to do is get phplinkdirectory. It would allow them to add a search engine friendly categorize directory of reciprocals to their site and point to from the home page. my goodness...
