Thanks. But it's OK. Everyone knows I don't rip people off. This deal was very transparent. I always make sure my clients know what they are getting and I expect people that I pay to do the same for me. Yet, some are just plain lazy.

It is good to pay after the work is done. You have a very good reputation, don't worry about that negative, people can see whose fault is it.

He promised to pay back $150 the next day. Then he vanished. He's also very argumentative.

This case is certainly not settled. If he pays me the $150 I'll drop this and never speak of it again and also close this thread.

In regards to getting the work done. I hired a professional coder with heaps of great feedback from guru.com for $200 and the job is now complete and fully satisfied.

Now it's just a case of getting the $150 tushardhoot1 promised to pay me. I sent him a Paypal invoice. No response.

From what I understand tushardhoot1 hasn't delivered. It's a big problem paying up front when you read of so many situations like this.

 

I think paypal will proceed inquiry for this issue and send him to submit some kind of proofs if you open dispute.
It is better, if you deal $200 or $550 kind of amount- Ask seller to send invoice for job/service with "buy or pay" button. once you pay, anything goes wrong, so, you can open dispute as buyer and paypal take this kind of matter as fraud and treat strickly.
if you just send money direct, it may harder for chargeback. but still open dispute, if you convince paypal, paypal could suspend him. paypal hate scammers and hackers.

Paypal won't allow me to place a dispute on this payment. Already tried. I have to trust that he will eventually do the right thing and pay me the $150 to me as promised.
