Beware of this Fraud Designer Charles Winters

I haven't looked on this forum for awhile. I do have a life.
I just saw that he responded by calling me a prostitute and that
I was on drugs. hahaha! It's funny that he would say that. Another man
that I spoke with who was also conned by him said that about him.

I have an eye witness that was in the same office when I met him.
She is the one who called me after I met with him to warn me about him.

Calling me a prostitute AND saying that I was "high" is defamation.
It is also called "libel" which can be taken to court.
There numerous accounts of his "activity" on the web which he tries to cover up for.
Just type his name in.

I spoke with one woman, and she said that he threatened her after she had found out
his fraud.

Once I told him I would not give him anymore money, he was not happy and stood up from his chair.
There was a man that came in directly after me who had also been conned.

I received nothing for my $200.
He pulled my "site" down from his server, and I never recovered my money.
So, in fact, I threw $200 away.

The girl that was in the office at the same time as I was on the first meeting called me
about two later and
warned me that he frauds people and to not give him anymore money.
I am so grateful for her honesty. I would have been out even more money.

 

It actually wasn't HIS office. It was a girl who LET him work in HER
office. She thought he was a real web designer, so she agreed to
work with him. She said it was the worst mistake. She lost thousands of dollars. When she lost several of her clients due to him, she stopped going to her office and called up the remaining clients to not contact him anymore.

He doesn't have my address. He called me a prostitute which is defamation/libel
because now it is on record and the court can see it.

I had no idea how this forum works. I was responding to each and every
post.

I posted once and then apparently he posted about me being on drugs and a prostitute! You bet I was pissed. This guy is a cheat and a liar. I don't want anybody else to get scammed. He has judgments against him but never shows up to court.

 

I'm still mad. I took $200 out of my savings to start a web site. Me the scammer? Scamming what???? anyone who wants to find out about him just type his name on the internet. Do your homework.

He owes me $800 for a site he never built...using other websites and put my domain on it. I sued him in small claims court, but his address changed. Do you know his current address? Would appreciate it. And if you need any witnesses, whatever you do, I'd be glad to help. My only request is to not be named yet, so that he can't run in case he knows he will be sent a court letter. Thanks!

My name is Gil and I am also a victim of Charles Winters Web design.
Too bad that I saw your complaint only after I started working with him.
I paid him his down payment of $100 for a $200 job and he screwed me over by asking for $400 and another $100 down payment.

I signed an agreement with him which he breeched big time, but for $100 to go to small claims is not worth it.
I disputed with paypal and they don’t investigate services only items purchased in e-bay.

How did you finalize your dispute with him?

I came across your posting about Charles Winters this morning and thought I’d share a few experiences (too many to tell here). I came across his website in 2006 and lo and behold it was actually MY website he’d stolen and simply changed instances of my name to his and “her” to “his”. I’d been emailed as a reference for work he had done, when the work had actually been done by me (that lead me to his site). This guy is a total scumbag and I doubt he’s ever done any legit work in his life. All references on his website at that time were bogus and stolen – he had not worked on any of the sites in his portfolio.

I contacted his web host and got his site taken down due to infringement. Soon after that he stole the site of a designer in Texas (who I contacted and who happened to have an attorney husband). He just never stops the scams. He used to post constantly on Craigslist – every city in the country every day. Now it looks as if he’s using You Tube to get traffic. He has a ton of soft porn videos that use links like www.etubin.com and www.kissncuties.com that redirect to his site (?).

One evening he actually stooped to posting an ad on Craigslist with MY email address saying I had a free car to give away. Luckily I was online and fielded the messages quickly and got the ad removed quickly. I also received a threatening email VERY similar to the one you posted.

I’m sorry you actually lost money to this a-hole. Interesting too. Most of the websites he ran at that time have since disappeared (outsourceamerica.us, wilshirestudio.com, the401kcenter.com, etc). I was going through folders and about to toss all my Charles Winters papers and decided to look online and see what he was up to now. Same ol’, same ol’, I guess!

 

I made it clear I wasn't doing homework, I was pointing out that you posting over and over looked like spam, and was completely unnecessary.. and you have continued to do so which makes it clear you don't listen to what people tell you.

As for this, no wonder the guy didn't like you.. you may not be a prostitute, but you make quick to make insults lacking any foundation, making you a douchebag..
