Beware of this Fraud Designer Charles Winters

Hi All,

Be safe when you are dealing with this fraud web designer from California, named Charles Winters.

He used to not pay the people he hire and do not satisfy his clients.

No matter you work for him or you hire him for a job, he will equally put you in jeopardy for sure.

I was conned by him, Charles Winters, as well. I paid him $200 to start on my web site. He did the very minimal
and made it look worse. He did small things to a couple of pages that I specifically asked him not to do.
He then wanted more money. I confronted him about his scam, and he said he would not give back my money.
He texted me later on that day that I was a prostitute. =/ He was mad because he thought he could get even
more money out of me. Anyone care to write a letter to the police......please do so. He is working out of N. Hollywood.
This guy is psychotic. Stay away from him.

 

Oh my god I live in north hollywood. I can seriously report this. And I will everyone please povide screenshots and your stories and I will put this in a organized folder to submit. Make sure you have PROOF it is him.

 

I don't know what course of action to take. I have spoken to at least three people about this guy.
I have read many bad reports on him. Unfortunately, I did not know his name until I met with him.
He is under metro web site design. After I left his office, another person came in to confront him
too. He is scum.

 

can you provide some PROOF that he defrauded you? otherwise this is just defamation.

Don't get me wrong, I genuinely do feel sorry for you all if this is the case.

I do have a witness. I also have a written receipt of him
receiving my $200 for certain work to be done.

I already spoke to the D.A. They said I do not have to
even have anything in writing or "proof" as you would call
it.

After he found out that I was not going to give him anymore
money, he got upset and said that he was going to take my
sad three pages (which I had mostly already designed, he just
put up some horrible crap on top of it) and take it off of the server.

I really did get taken for this amount. I do not want anyone else to be
a victim of his.

the reason I was interested was because the first few posts looked like it was someone trying to ruin someone elses reputation. However; upon closer inspection it really does look like he's just 'templating' sites. I'm sorry to hear you've been ripped off. If I can help in any way, let me know.

going to pay him a second installment.

I am so angry that I have taken to blogging (which I never do). I want to
find some justice. So, I will write about my experience with Charles Winters

You mention Thailand before and I know a designer here which use the same nickname as this on myspace and I know exactly where he live and work. PM me with more details and I can get him in trouble. He have not conned me, but I hate the bastard as he is very good spreading rumors for other people.

 

This lady who posted this has some serious issues.

I will post her name and home address shortly.

She came to MY OFFICE obviously high on speed. She started telling me how she had been a prostitute for many years and wanted to start earning a living another way.

I started working on her website and she obviously was so high she did not know what she was doing or saying. She actually had druel running from the sides of her mouth (yuck). She even offered to have sex with me in exchange for the money which I declined (Nasty is putting it softly).

That is probably why she is posting these bullshit posts. I have plenty of references and my work speaks for itself. In fact we are now offering website design with no money down.

Here is copy of the email that details the "very Llittle work that she says was done".

On the homepage, I asked you to put "Clubs" not "dancer directory" on one of the stars.
You put "dancer directory". Please put " Clubs" like I asked you to.

I can change this to "clubs" not a problem.


I also asked you to make hyper links out of the stars. That was never done.

I created an image map for the main page. The stars are hyperlinked. We need to create the pages that we will link to.
The code is there for the image maps of the stars.


I don't really understand what the "categories' page is?
I never asked for that.

The categories page is the listing of states. This section is the "mosets tree" module we had spoke about.
This would be used for adding the clubs. The categories will be changed to the names of each state.
The word "categories" will be changed to "Locations" or "States"


I specifically asked that you not put a navigation bar on any of the pages.
You put one on the "california" page.

I can turn the navigation bar off.


On the map's page. I told you in our meeting that I wanted you to use what I had already on the map's page and not to change it.

The image map that you supplied was twice the size it needed to be. When it is resized all of the image map coordinates would have to be re-mapped again completely. I went ahead and found an image map that fit on the page. The colors of the states can be changed to match the colors that you want. Or I can remap your existing image.


You changed it and put different colors on the page and took away the original map.
There is also a weird shadow on the map page that was not there before.

I had to alter one of the backgrounds that you supplied.I can fix this by using another image that you provided.


I gave you $200 cash as a deposit on Aug. 20, 2010 and was hoping for much more than this. It seems like a step backwards.

We have installed the content management system, created an image map for the main page., added a second image map of the USA and integrated it into the website, we also worked on changing the template for the content management system to match the website. username **** password *****. I will make any changes that you need. I will even remap your existing image if that's what you would like.
The changes that we have made are the same ones that we spoke about at our meeting.

May i ask what you are going to do to him? J/k but for real All you can do is report him and let everyone know so they will not be able to do this again! If he can't do the work right don't offer it right? Or tell the client what is up and man up to it.
