It appears spammers and phishers are abusing the DP's friendly assist in testing whether the site is working or not.

This is my first time I receive automessage that someone's attemped to log into my account and my account got locked down.

So i thought about what could have been and it is only one thing I have done today that is:

    1. Saw the post by a user asking to test if his/her site is loading
    2. I tried to access, the site failed to load (as being its going slow)
    3. So I checked what the main domain is about and it loads fine and fast

So i got suspicious and changed my password to long something I cant even easily even remember (noted down though).
Plus: the member increase my suspicion by also saying "yes keep clicking" so I was certain.

Those bad people are making the DP bad and to become more restrictive.

Thanks for the heads up, but phishers seem to be getting more inventive with the methods they are using, its also a good idea to make alpha numeric passwords if your not allready, just dont forget to not them down lol if you want to be extra safe, change them every so often, again dont forget to note them down :p

Thanks for the heads up. It seems that the old saying of no good deed goes unpunished is seriously in effect these days

How do you figure the correlation between failed login attempts and that? They'dnt fail if that worked right? I mean it is possible that people do that for pishing -even though a wm forum would not be the best place as most of the people have protection of some sort- but i think what you've been through was likely a coincidence.

No. If you successfully log in your account, there are no failed log ins and it needs 5 failed logins. In additiion, account get locked after 5 failed login so you will know if it is by you.

And you will get a notice like this with IP of your attempter.

    And
    1. I never fail my logins. (May be in next 40 years when I got amnesia)
    2. The ip given accessing my account is not mine. (Unless my ISP is buying connection through some other country with ring-a-round-a-rosie ISP game)
    3. if you have seen the URL given for the test, you will kow something's fishy and doesnt match main page
    4. That was my click of the day
    5. That thread is gone/deleted

And how would someone steal your DP password by having you go to a remote site?

its from zzl.org but thats just free hosting site.

the subdomain is pizzle or prize or something at zzl.org
but the exact url is pxxxxx.zzl.org?=something

my browser somehow didnt save urls if it doesnt load fully or show a page.

I think the site hosted with zzl.org got script injected by scammer and scammer simply put its own folder in it.

Happens with my host as all where a hacker uploaded a bank phishing site folder in my account.
