    Gator is the worst lol . I had my own cms made and was running smooth until one day they come and give me a weirdo email saying that i was running a NULLED VBULLETIn! and that i was promoting illegal activities which is not allowed on gator. I was just running my self coded cms and a prison break forum where people can DISCUSS and still they said that they wont reply back coz its a so called lost case. Gator Hands up Thumbs down.

    In my opinion, 2 days is more then enough time. Many hosts can setup a server in 24 hours or LESS. At the same time, I never done it but I'm sure its quite a simple process. Connecting the server and then setting up the software on it. It does not need 2 days to setup a server so I'd been complaining too.

    Now, on the topic of the $200 invoice. I am not sure, if anything, they SHOULD credit you the $100.00for the shared hosting purchase and if they can't do this my best recommendation would be to contact a lawyer to overview things. No matter whether you were terminated and what not, you paid them and haven't even been through 1 month of hosting. You should be receiving credit for what you literally paid for.

    LASTLY... $200 for a server setup is quite high, you may want to get them to check on that as well and credit you or refund the other $100 (assuming its $100 a piece to setup a server.) If it is, you should have a $200.00 credit for your account (which depending on what kind of server you have and assuming its only $100 a month) you should basically have 2 months covered.

    Good luck ;)

    I assume you actually were running a null vbulletin forum. If so then I fail to see the issue here as hostgator probably got a DMCA notice sent to them which they acted on.

    What he is saying is that Hostgator tought he was running a nulled vbulletin! But that he actually runs a selfmade CMS system!

    In either way, even if it was a nulled vBulletin, I feel that it was still HG's responsibility to refund the money. That is like saying I paid for a car but they take it back without refunding because I ran a red light. Doesn't quite make sense now does it?

    Well it does make sence, because their TOS states that no refunds will be made if an account get terminated because of illegal activity! And no refunds will be given!

    In your contract on the car it won't say that they will take the car back if you drive on a red light, so they cant take it back ;) Basicly, this is not about what makes sence or what doesn't, it's about the contract that you have signed with the company / car dealer!

    You missed out a key point he said.

    Custom cms AND a prison break forum

    Why do I have a feeling that the forum was a nulled vbulletin and the forum itself were discussing distribution of the tv show?

    @Prilep : Are you working for Brent/Hostgator lol ;)

    Anyway, @tipsguru why you signup for dedicated server if you were getting such service with HostGator.

    If you ask me i am much happy with my current host for the level of service and support they give me:)
