Hi Guys, Just wanted to share some important information with all the users searching for Groupon clone to sell daily deals on their website. Buy a software that does not look like Groupon website. Beware of uniprogy, couponic, wroupon, and ndot groupon clones because they exactly resemble Groupon website and put you on stake by infringing copyright, trademarks, and patent of Groupon. Refer to this post on DP forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2151880 for more.
Agriya is using "GrouponPro" to promote it's products, again a problem. They also seem to infringe Groupon's patents.
Way to get the facts wrong! They have sent them a C&D because they are using their trademark name on their site. Not because of the backend framework. Consequently they would have a very hard time defending such in court, unless the software developers actually took code exactly from Groupon's site.
I was about to buy groupon clone from Agriya but is there any problem with that? they don't use groupon logo but what is against law?
I picked up a couple of domains with the word 'groupon' in the name. For examle: CITYGroupon.com. Does anyone know from actual experience if Groupon has an issue with these domains running as Groupon Affiliate websites?
yea i have the same here getting it ready, its called group buy or daily deals website. I dont see the problem unless you mention the groupon name: http://sitemile.com/products/dealpress-wordpress-group-buying-theme/
Hi, I had purchased a groupon clone script from Agriya for $1,000. However, I have now abandoned my plan of starting this site myself. So I am selling this script. I will give it to you for $300 with all installation instructions, manuals, 3 months support etc. You can verify that the price of the original script is $1,000 on Agriya website If interested, plz email me at punitgupta29 "at the rate" yahoo.com
Hi! I have tried the Groupon Marketing tool, I purchased it from Agriya. I've been using it for almost three months and I don't see any problem with it. I suggest before you buy make sure that is really Groupon.
Wow - this report makes me even see more clearly about uniprogy scripts. I deleted already everything from my servers. My story: I recommend that everyone should be careful in decisions to buy their costly scripts. Unfortunately I wasted my money in buying their Fundnation script and realized that it's totally useless for usage in EU countries. It's missing of so many requirements by meeting law and rules. Even the handling and administration is complicated and far behind in modern and userfriendly functionality sometimes. And all that for a very high price. Lately I compared it to other, cheaper and much better scripts that have all those features inside. Well, it might was my fault that I did not inform myself well enough before I did make a decision to buy this useless thing. I tried the Demo but on first sight there's no chance to realize all missings of functions. There's only one ting you can be sure of it - if you once bought you'll never see getting your money back because this company will decline all requests of refunding even after just a few days you might wasted your money. Very serious companys providing a money back guarantee for 7-30 days. But not this company - and it might have it's reason why they don't do. At least I read lot of topics in their customers forum (it's only possible to read about lot of messages from frustated buyers once you have might lost your money already) and I realized I'm not the only one who has massive problems with my senseless and useless purchase.
That's the problem. But Germany is not so far from Czech Republic. May someone will spend some holidays and fetch back his money from the scamming Uniprogy team personally (-; I guess a deeper experience they couln't make in their life ...
Yes this can happen, but is very hard to believe it will happen. Also if this happen you might have a lot of success that they bothered to send you even an email. So you probably would have the money to make a custom script if this was the case.
