Beware of False Whois Info

    Hello.

    Me, along with others probably don't like our whois information being displayed in public.

    I have never done so, but know people that put down fake information. You probably didn't know, but it is grounds to have your domain name deleted and some sort of legal action for something like fraud.

    People can actually report false whois info here:

    In my opinion a better solution for people is to use services like DomainsByProxy that will put their details in place.

    Some registers will give these services away for free with registrations, but others may charge a tiny fee of around $2.

    Yes.

    With things like who.is people can see your personal details. With DomainsByProxy the company will put their emails instead. Some people just enter false information, but this can cause your domains to be deleted.
