If you ever run across a CPM ad network called "4Meta", or if they send you an email inviting to join them -- RUN, DON'T WALK, AWAY FROM THEM!!!! I've used them for a couple of days, and I can tell you that they're frauds. I have yet to get paid, months later, and they only answer emails up to the point where they realize you've "caught on" to their scheme. How did they rope me in? A promise of a flat .80-CPM for banners. That's some incredible rate, right? WRONG. They can offer $100 CPM but it's still $0 if they don't pay you. So avoid them if they try to contact you. They're absolute frauds. You have been warned.
i personally wouldn't join any network with a pr of 0 and low alexa rank without proof that they actually pay.
you can fake a PR, and with a few hundred dollars fake alexa as well. Do mroe research then just that.
PR value is based on links and age. It has nothing to do with the quality of a site. One of my crappy sites, with nothing on it except a couple of sentences, is a PR4 because it's 5 months old and I have a couple of links from a major site pointing to it. Would you join ME? And who sends out proof that they actually pay? That's why people come on forums to ask, and when a site is new, there are no one with experiences with them yet.
actually by proof of pay, i meant that people on forums have verified that they have indeed sent out a payment.
Okay, I get what you're saying. Still, it's kind of hard to find people with experiences that they actually pay if, you know, they're new. But fair enough, I know what you mean. Anyways, I guess this is why I made the thread in the first place, so there IS evidence that these numbnuts don't pay, so others don't get taken for a ride.
this is why i am quick to recommend networks that i have received a payment from and quick to talk down a company that i've had terrible experiences with. with new companies, there will be test publishers, but i'll never be one of them.
I don't try any new companies, that is unless I have a creditable memeber tell me they have been paid. The smaller networks seem to always pay shit too.
