I like to tell about how Google is spying on you

I was collecting back link data for one of the sites through Google(The site has 7000 back links)

The script worked fine until it got nearly 5000 back links into my database

After Google bot had realised it is an automated query so it stopped my script from getting access from google.com

For another 4 hours I can't use this command

    link:www.site.com

    Since I had Gmail talk

My gmail address is used to sign in automatically into Gmail and orkut

Since Google has realised the user (xxxx@gmail.com) is making queries

it blocked me from further getting queries for back link data

It allowed me only to make search queries

After that I had restriced access

So I turned of Gmail and disabled the option of starting Google talk when the computer starts and also cleared the cookies

    and also restarted the computer

If you are having Google accounts sign out of the Google accounts then search in Google as even this may be used as evidence in future to capture someone in a case

also even if you sign out they would have a cookie stored in your computer so more or less they can find out who are you?(by using Gmail address or google account)

I agree with you .. I saw a programme on tv where someone wrought a letter
to friend talking about the church and the priest and so on. After he send the message most google ads was all of a sudden just about christian songs , bibles for sale .... ect

So, yes , google scans all our emails to build up more information on what we like and what we want and then use this information against us

Hide from google!!! It is really scary the amount that it knows about each and everyone of us... Also, I don't think clearing your cookies actually helps, because the google 'immortal' cookie that is valid for something like 30 years is hidden away, somewhere other than your normal cookies...

Anytime you are logged into your account and then start to search on Google, they keep a log of what your searched for as well as what site you clicked on. I think recently had also added a way to get to that information, atleast sites visited, and allowed you to delete that information from your profile. Only google would know what the delete does behind it's door.

After some massive outburst of a trojan/worm about 2-3 years ago, Google limits queries with operators like site: inurl: and such. It was made to restrict infected winxp machines to flood Google with search queries that look for vulnerable websites. This was the worm`s way of spreading.

Anyone who looks with inurl: for, lets say 20-30 times in a short period, will get an error message instead of SERPs that says "Your machine might be infected".

This is what probably happened. Maybe you got additional temporal ban from Google since you searched much more than 30 times and your IP got suspected of attacking.

Ya Google has a satellite beamed over my house because I own the world.

As it turns out Google is actually the reverse spelling of a clandestine group of Martians trying to take over Earth.

Their known as el goog from the planet Goog and you should be very very afraid as they are armed with an algorithm that can destroy your business.

I would suggest everyone who is reading this to take your websites offline and flee..... so that the few of us who are brave enough to stay behind can rank our sites a bit easier on the Martians Search Engine.

    ;)

Someone been hittin the pipe a bit too much.....

At least this thread had one sane, non-paranoid and logical answer.

What Snout said is true. Google has put in measures to detect possible spyware/trojan activities which datamine/query in a non-human way. You basically tripped their sensors. It does let you back in after a time period.
