Well obviously you should not trust users who have recently signed with a few or 0 posts, who PM you randomly selling you a domain.

Exactly...use your discretion before paying upfront...
Paypal is not exactly buyer protective. They also deny the dispute most of the times. Only if the amount is huge do they actually bother to look into the matter. Until then its all your luck.

I guess that you have learnt from this experience?

Here are a few things that you really need to check when buying the domain:

    1. Is the asking price suitable for the ranking on the site?

Buying a PR5 or even lower is not likely for as little as $35. Think about the price here!

    2. Check the WhoIs on the site and ask them the verify the details by asking questions.

If you fail to do this, then your just as much to blame for the scam as they are.

The internet is a big place and it does having its scammers but tread the right path and you will be fine, come off it and your on your own!

Dp users with no itrader and 0 posts? How dumb are u kids? Jesus...

Always check them inside out: Itrader, posts in DP, do a Google search for his name, username, email id, paypal id AND always ask them to place a picture or text of your choice at the domain they are selling.

Open your eyes kids: will you buy a 35K Lexus for $100 from a guy that just appeared out of nowhere? Guess not...

    Hey guys,

The best thing that you should do when you receive a suspected SPAM is to report it to any of the MODS or ADMIN that you know. They have the capacity to make immediate actions on this matter. I have received several spams and have banned those people who keeps on doing.

    Let us not tolerate SPAMMERS...

I am sorry you got scammed but I own the acl site. If you had looked in the about section you would have gotten my email and if you had done a whois search you would have gotten my name and addres and my other email. Maybe checking into that kind of thng in the future would be wise. I am sorry you got scammed but It was not from me. I do appreciate you not putting an actual link in your origianl post but it does make me wonder when i do a search on my site and then i find this thread in one of the results. I am trying to run a nice blog and have plans for it in the future but stuff like this will follow it around and it is not good i think.

Paypal doesn't refund on any electronic items and unless they have just recently changed their policy they consider domains to be electronic intangible items. I tried to get a refund on a domain last year when i first started to try internet marketing and just lost out.

Yeah i got one too. He offer me some Text Links on DannyBrown.me, which is PR5. I just ignored him because i don't have any budget to buy the links. I have been thinking how much he/she made by scamming everybody in DP.
