hi DP members . i have been spammed yesterday (10-06-09) and i lost $25 from my paypal.
the members "tapcotap" and "dannybrown02" are real spammers with 0 posts and 0 itraders and joined only in june 2009.

first i received a PM from tapcotap stating to sell pr 4 domain "http://www.acl2002.org/" reg in godaddy
it was my mistake to send the money first and believed him to be a truthful trader and sent $25 to his paypal :tapcotap@rediff.com
he promised to push the domain and cheated me.
dint reply to any of my messages after i transfered the money.

and today(11-06-09) another user "dannybrown02" sent me a pm stating to sell a pr 3 domain "http://www.press-play.net" reg in godaddy. for a 25$.

i believe both users are the same person who joined in the same month of june 2009 and 0 posts.

its not about the money i lost but you worthy members of DP be carefull with such people.

Be aware with low Itrader, never get the deal with this kind of member. Ask another member, if you want make transaction with zero Itrader member. Don't make a deal by PM, very risky. Make all deal clear at one thread, not a pm.

    Moral of the story:
    1. If someone had pr5 domain, and want to sell it. He would post it. Not sent pm to anyone.
    2. Buy from, trust member

He sent the pm to me too, although i was straightforward! the next time someone pm's you such offers

just ask them for a push first! no deals if they don't push first!

That's what i did. he said he can't go first as he was scammed by someone who took the domain and didn't pay him then - lol he thinks he can fool us!

Best thing is to be smart & stay safe from such offers, as a responsible dp member i would say report them to mods as soon as u receive such pms & get them banned to avoid more scams by them.

i also received pm from a guy, if u happen to receive the pm like this, just ask them to transfer the domain first, dont send money in advance, otherwise u will loose ur money and will not get the domain...

well, I guess I'm not the only victim then. Last night I lost $15 to "tapcotap". He offered me domain PR 3 "pazise.com" and use paypal id bravoearn@rocketmail.com via PM last night. I thought he's been sleeping very long until I read this thread  Well, it's my mistake as I've never experienced such scam before. This is my lesson I guess.

I also recieved PM from dannybrown02 this afternoon offering me PR5 sitewide links for only $10 :) I asked him to install the link first but he hasn't replied until now. So I guess we have to ban him as well. Oh, he smartly use website http://dannybrown.me/ which I checked indeed has PR5.

I think I agree if there's gonna be a rule saying that everybody will have to BUY first before SELL. Maybe until it reached about 5-10 in i-trader. Just a thought :)

So, you should check and read comments of the seller carefully before making a purchase.
What you can do now is try to require a refund from paypal. Do it ASAP.
    Good luck
