Doing both in simultaneously would double your income in the same time...try to coordinate what you're writing in blog and what you sell
i recommend you do all together same time if you can... make a blog with some content and put your google ads there, and regarding ebook, i think it would be very good if you make it as bonus and offer it for free to people after they take some action like buy something through your link first or even get their email address.. many ways can be done but try to implement a many as possible same time!

As has been said, some prefer a blog while some tout ebooks as the best way. Generally, the ebook sales will be a quicker hit while the blog may have more long term potential, but done right selling ebooks could be lucrative and residual to a list, and if you work hard and smart you could see good income from your blog quickly. Whichever you prefer, stick with it and don't give up, most importantly take action, make sure most of the activities you are doing are productive, don't over analyze.

I have made quite a bit of money selling my first ebook and while it would have been nice to discover this method sooner, my book is filled with steps that I personally took to make money online--so its not all bullshit, as I have used the same very steps to reach my income goals very quickly. A blog is sometimes fun to run though, especially if you are intersted in the topic you are writing about.

Yeah, I'm definitely with Sutocu on doing both. Use the blog to give people a taste of what you can do for them - don't give away everything, just use it as a lead generator for your ebook. Promote you ebook under every post. A blog that promotes a product you get 100% of the commission on is so much better than a blog promoting affiliate products where you get a 20% commission on. Ebooks definitely require a promotion strategy, and I say a blog is a good place to start.
