Yep, BOTW is a very old and trusted directory, well worth the money. But I recommend getting on their mailing list as periodically they have discount coupons where you can save up to 25% including permanent reviews.

BOTW is one of the best directires to be on. Don't buy for PR buy for the authority the link will give.

Similar to Dmoz? Yes. But BOTW is much better than DMOZ, as we learn in capitalism (paid verse non-profit), because they focus on a profit making it worth to submit long term.

    interesting...

I poked around BOTW and couldn't find any sort of mailing-list to subscribe to.

can you point me in the direction of getting on the BOTW mailing list?

What do you get for $240? Is it traffic? How many hits could one expect from a site like this.

Best of the web is on;y 4 years old as a directory, prior that they were a puffed up award site, I know, I got a pretty little plastic membership card from them which cost me $$$ and was about as usefull as a pair of rubber lips on a woodpecker.

Also you should NEVER make a fake claim like 'your the oldest directory on the web?' when your patently not. They promised to be around as an award site forever, they're good at making themselves look bigger than what they are I'll give them that.

Buy the annual payment option if not 100% about your site.

Promo Code: SIZZLE25 25% off in August.

One thing you got right there mate, they certainly know how to put on a professional front. I remember falling for the BS membership they had going on their award site, they made themselves out to be some kind of serious player offering discount rentals with hertz and all sorts if you joined up, I never did test that offer mind.

Trust me on this one, they KNOW what they are doing, most people forget about monthly subs, even if for just one month, at the price these people charge I would rather go to Yahoo and get a premium listing at least you know your going to get seen.

Still having difficulty trying to understand why anyone would pay $240 for a link on any directory
