I need to host 3 websites, maybe more in the future. I'd like at least a TB of bandwith, but it must be a real TB, not the crap offered from small companies that oversell. I want it to handle something like a Digg effect. This is what I found on Godaddy - https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hosting/shared.asp?ci=8886 Looks good to me - 150GB space, 1.5TB bandwidth, unlimited websites, $7/mo if paying by the month. I have $65 in my paypal. Is there any better hosting deal than this from a reputable company that takes paypal? Thanks
I use HawkHost for my blog, forum and all sites. They guarantee 99.99% uptime and I too guarantee that. I suggest you to take hawkhost's Standard plan. It costs $51 for six months. With s20percent as coupon code you'll get 20% discount. So you'll get the standard hosting for $40/6 months. Check this comparison: http://www.hawkhost.com/Shared/compare If you're interested, I'll send my aff link!
Only 60GB bandwidth. And with the $10 plan still only 240GB. Everything else looks great, just way too little bandwidth. So it won't do for me.
had no good support from godaddy , maybe things changed in the last months , people talk about hostgator as good company
Hostgator has no good deals like that though. From them, the only plan that would let me host multiple websites is the $8 one, and that's if I pay for 3 years straight. I only have $65 in my paypal, so it would force me to pay monthly, which would be $10, which is too much compared to godaddy's $7/mo. I actually don't like godaddy at all, having managed a few sites for clients through them, so I'm all for a different company, but I just don't see one with a better deal where it's still cheap if paying monthly.
Actually I might go with 1and1. The 1&1 Home plan is only $5/mo, free first 3 months, comes with 2 domains, supports unlimited domains, 120GB space / 1.2TB bandwidth. Looks good. I know people say 1and1 sucks, but I've been using them for 3-4 years now and am managing several accounts with them, and I have had no problems at all, except one time when I needed support and found out their support is as useful as asking a damn monkey. But other than that in my experience they have been great.
