    Blogspot blogs are not so good for SEO since it can’t be customized the way we want. The best part is its free and we can monetize the blog with ads which is not possible with most free blogging platforms. If you’re serious about blogging then go for a self-hosted Wordpress blog itself.

    Yep, better put it on your own host. There are many free hosts that can provide you with good start. I've lost count how many blogs I have deleted arbitrarily by blogspot

    Blogspot can be decent for quicker rankings, but if you want to build a long-term business with more control of what you're doing, I would go with Wordpress...

    Use Wordpress. its a better platform for blogging. you can customize it according to your requirement As freeadstime said, sky is the limit with wordpress.

    If you want a good earning then I would like to suggest you a custom paid domain. Free domains[like blogspot and wordpress.com] have many restrictions and they are not so SEO friendly. So if you are serious about this, must get paid domain.

    I think he mean wordpress blog and blogspot, not Self hosting wordpressengine, i prefer blogspot with custom domain

    I think for Adsense the most important thing is not the platform but the content and the SEO strategy. So using blogger or WP should not be relevant at all.

    Definitely I would go for Wordpress. You have much more control and a multitude of plugins and themes to help you with your site.
