I use gmail it's like the standard but is there another good one?
Did you know they can >>Terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.
It just happened... need a secure e-mail that will not go away..!

Whenever you're using an email service, you're subject to their policies. If you've got a website, using an email address attached to it might be your safest bet.

Gmail account itself is secondary, what i need are google's other services, adwords, analysis, etc.

I like to use microsoft accounts - hotmail and msn rather than their new 'live' account names.
You can still sign up for these using these addresses (sorry I'm not allowed to full give links here yet! so you need to copy to your browser)

Yahoo ha been in the biz since the launch of the e-mail . They have some serious security and are definitely recommended . I remember reading their ToS some time ago and they don't have a *no reason/any reason(coffee is cold lol)* clause .

When you say best, how do you mean that word? Best in interface, features, security; best in what?

I have been using Hush Mail lately and it is really good but it offers VERY LOW storage for free, like 2mb, but it is the MOST secure and I think is the best really. I only use it here & there with various accounts for websites for business and projects.

Yahoo! Mail & Microsoft Live email services are good and comparable to Google in both interface and features.

The best email provider is always your host. Using custom email addresses on your own domains give you full control, and the best way is always to use an email program on your computer like Mozilla Thunderbird or Microsoft Outlook so that you can download the email files from your server and keep files on your computer giving your virtually unlimited storage space. And while that it is not secure in terms of data redundancy, you can keep your files safe by setting up your email to be downloaded to your computer but also stored on your server for back-up. You can totally secure it various ways to ultimately make it the best in features, interface, and most-importantly security and data back up/redundancy. :)

    ..ya email n00b. :p ;) :D

Prior to Gmail, I used to prefer Yahoo but due to Uncle Bob's continues yet unwanted mails and many other regular advertising scams almost every day, I switched to Gmail. I must admit that I am more than satisfied with Gmail so far. Very simple, not more than what is actually necessary. However, I didn't knew if they could ban our accounts without any notification or something. I will consider it!
