    It is a common word which adds to its value but what is its commercial appeal? How would you develop a name like this? Ideas don't come immediately to me. Searching the keyword on Google.com I don't see any ads.

    I'm sure there are other ideas if you thought about voids in the various niches out there.

    You might be able to spin it with a concept requiring sharing of two resources like screen-sharing or merging documents etc

    It is a .net. .com is the standard. The domain name itself is worth very little. You could develop it into something to create value. Otherwise, it's crap. Picture sharing is hot, a best friend picture sharing site? Pics of people with their besties? That wouldn't be too hard to develop. Getting popular is another matter.

    Getting popular depends on how effective the app / site user onboarding and lean marketing funnel is. This is why most apps / sites fail because they haven't utilized proven UX design and marketing.
