Best WP Forum Plugin

A friend of mine has asked me to do a full WP install, including a forum and I was curious as to which forum was best in your opinions. I have used several of the popular WordPress forums. I have had some success with all of them, but right now I'm going with Simple-Forum because it's so easy to customize.

So what is your favorite forum plugin and why?

• Simple-Press
• phpBB
• SMF
• Or another forum I'm not familiar with?

 

Try to use bbPress. I've not use it but I think it is the best for Wordpress.

PHPBB and SMF are stand alone forum scripts they can not be directly integrated into wordpress , but you can install then in a sub directory can link them from your wordpress site. In this can you have to prepare an extra theme for these forum scripts.

 

They are working on a BBpress creation that will turn BBpress into an actual plugin. It was suposed to be completed last fall... but I'm not certain on the status of it...

some one provide list of smf forums because i need that tell me what is the best processor ,,fill the phb files

 

wp forum ? if u have a huge site or plan to make it huge, go for dedicated forum script, it work out better . ..

 

My vote goes to SMF, and you can link it from your wordpress blog.

 

For Wordpress, vanilla forum is the best, it integrate with wordpress well and easy to customize. they have brand friendly theme, also its mobile responsive.
