I'm creating a large (1000 page plus) affiliate site and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a theme that looks professional and is easy to navigate (but also that is easy to use as I'm very new to this - and I don't know code!) I'm happy to pay a bit extra for a decent one as I hope it will be an investment and don't want to have to change it later. Does anyone have any opinions on Thesis or Genesis? Or will a $40 one from Theme Forest or similar be just as good? Thanks
If I was you I would spend a good amount of time searching through the free themes on WordPress's website first. Read the reviews and find what works best for you. Even install a few and test them out. Goodluck
Hey Henyo, It kinda depends on what you're selling. If you're trying to set up a store you can check out WooCommerce or JigoShop. They are ecommerce platforms that add a store-type layout to your site and can make it easy to do affiliate marketing and both are free. But if you're not going for a store look & feel, you might want to go for a magazine-style theme since they usually allow the display of lots of content in a neat and organized way. Here are some themes you might like if you want to go the ecommerce route: http://thereisathemeforthat.com/theme-category/e-commerce-themes/
xAlexKimx she don't know code means can't use default theme. I think Genesis is good. I used year ago. I was great.
Thanks djahmednawaz, so would you say something like genesis is better than a cheaper one from theme forest or something? Also is it easy to use for a beginner?
I think yes. because theme forest themes have limited theme options. But genesis have many options. you will learn with time to time.
