Just to make a quick point. Theres a benefit and downside picking a theme merely for ads. I suggest selecting something that represents the sites function, rather then picking a template for the ads. (If the user "feels at home" they will relax and click around a bit more.) Make the site look welcoming. All the sites I've seen so far are bland. If you check out NDesign Studio's stuff for Wordpress, you would click on anything to see more of the site (even ads)

the best theme is a custom-designed theme, around the topic of your blog if you need help with that, let me know
To follow up on my post earlier, check out N Designs site itself and the wordpress blogs that are linked from this post he made. These are some of the nicest looking wordpress themes I've seen, im sure they probably get some nice ad clicks as well considering how nicely they blend in.
