Best WordPress theme for a blog?

It seems like a lot of the premium WordPress themes out there are not specifically for blog, but instead for content-based websites or portfolios. Are there any good, reasonably-priced WordPress themes out there exclusively for blogs? I kind of like the theme I have now, but it's really slow and glitchy.

i think this based on your taste,.. the more you see it, the more you want it, and the problem is, there's so much themes, just pick that suit you.

I would recommend searching through themeforest.net as they have hundreds of themes there, I have gone through the top sold and I think the following are the themes that you would like as they are more for personal use:

On bktemplates.com you can find ready WordPress templates and also you can download and testing a template maker - Artisteer which allow you to create a page yourself.

 

i'd always recommend Woothemes though they are not quite affordable.

For trendy and well organized WordPress themes i would prefer elegantthemes.

You can hop on fiverr and get all of the elegant themes and most of the woo themes for $5, I personally like the woo theme Canvas myself. It's easy to setup and can be used for blogging or for a business page

 

The once you find on Fiverr are most likely to be Pirated versions mate... I suggest not to fall for them.

The only thing I dont like about it is that the slider takes a bit of time to load if you are on a shared hosting plan.

Elegant themes is a theme house with dozens of premium wordpress themes to choose from.

 

I like any theme that has a fixed width with flash features, but I tend to go with elegant themes or fabthemes

 

WordPress is a wonderful choice for a beginner for website design.
