    As most of users here are webmasters, let me start a poll..

    Which is the best web designing software you use or you recommend?

    Also please post your reason for selection, that would be a great help to newbies like me...

    So my first vote goes to NVU ( a opensource from mozilla people ) , with tab and extention functionality.. And its freeee..:)

    photoshop and fireworks for image design. blends well.

    For design, I prefer a grocery sack (the brown paper kind) and a #2 pencil. Then any graphics are done in the GIMP or in PhotoShop. Emacs or Vi is fired up to create the database schema and tables, scripts to aid in populating the DB, mid-tier scripts, client side scripts and, of course, the actual content and markup plus css.

    So, let's see; 1) paper sack and pencil, 2) GIMP or PS and 3) Emacs or Vi. Yep, that's got it.
