Best webcam for youtube HD???

    Hi guys,

    I want to get a webcam and start doing videos on youtube -- but i want the videos to be HD.

    I've looked, but everytime i see a HD webcam, either the resolution isnt right for hd, or the reviews say it only records at 12fps in HD. :(


    Does anyone know a wecam that will do full 30fps hd recordining.

    If not -- what is the best way to do this? :confused:

    have you tried researching webcams like this one...?

    I believe that the above suggestion is just the thing you are looking for...

    I've been looking into them for 3hrs -- and the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 comes up quite a lot -- BUT...

    Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is NO GOOD for HD videos on youtube.

    Reason: video capture is 960x720 (youtube HD needs 1280x720) and the frame rate it records at at that quality is only 15fps anyway.

    Logitech should be sued for false advertising. You only have to watch videos on youtube of people thinking they have purcahsed a HD webcam they can use, when they find out that its no better then a normal webcam offering "HQ" quality :(

    That looks great mentos -- if only the camera was seperate ;)


    Thanks turbulence --- the camera get's mixed reviews - but it's about the best so far :)


    Satz -- budget doesnt matter :) i want a webcam instead of a hd camcorder, as you get the controls on the monitor while your using it.

    Why HD if they are just small inside videos? I dont think anyone will notice, I sure would not care if it was hd or not if it was a good video, if you where going to film a movie then i would understand, you should just save some cash.

    I use Logitech Orbitz for my HD video recording.
    Mind you I have tested more than 8 webcams and found the logitech one to be of the best quality.
    This applies to their mouse and keyboards too

    Logitech orbitz is probably one of the best webcams you can get. Its amazing. Or any HD camcorder.
