It's true. Best to buy something cheap, and pay the $10 for a domain name..

Look my signature you can buy a .INFO domain name for 1,99$ at year and get a free webhosting plan without intrusive pop-up (only a discrete banner on the top)
you can have also a lot of premium features with domain like email, website builder, for sale page for your domain, parked page, forwarding and masking for your domain, Dns control, domain locking and more...

Do you know something better for 1,99$ ?

You can get a free domain name at co.cc, but their signup process is flaky last time I used it.

You can get free hosting at VlexoFree, all you need is a textlink somewhere on your website back to Vlexo.

I don't like co.cc or co.uk etc... they look like a third level domains!

i have had so many bad experiences with these cheap web hosting- for the price that you are paying, their services are not even decent! i'd pay a minimum of $4 bucks to get at least some decent hosting quality, godaddy perhaps?

I do not think that any web hosting company can be considered as the best one.
UYou may want to numerate some parameters first?

It depends on the need of the end user. You'll need to find the best provider yourself. But it's only for you, not for another one.

Nothing is free in this world. Everything has a cost to it. Some of them tangible and the others intangible. One may go with something FREE but end up spending more time in sorting out this that may follow. Time is money anyway!

You should look for a reliable hosting company. Something where they actually care about their clients. You want some premium.
