    Hi All

Has anyone used their directory sumission service. I've purchased 300 directory submissions and not one of them so far has registered with the search engines as a 'backlink'. Any views/advice would be great.

    Lesson number 1.

NEVER use directory submission services. Most of the directories will be junk, spread across just a few IPs, they will not have much, if any PR, they will not have unique original content, they will not be related to your site, and they will probably be flagged already as 'bad neighborhoods' by google.

    Lesson number 2.

There are NO shortcuts to building links. You need to individually review each and every single place you want your link to appear. They need to be on sites that are VERY RELATED to your site. They need to have original, unique content. They need to have a limited number of outbound links. Adn they need to be spread across different types of sites.

Don't try to take the easy way out with mass directory or blog commenting services. At best you'll waste your money, and at worst, you'll get yourself banned from Google.

Huge difference between link brokering and bulk submission services. It's not even close.
