I wont mention name but it will be fairly obvious to see. What would be the best way to further market a project im trying. I have setup a site and basically I want to see how much I can raise within 6 months from just spare change etc lying in peoples paypal accounts etc or even higher donations. Where would be the best places to market without any costs? Thnks
I don't think people will just "give" you money for nothing. Even if it's just spare change.. but then again crazier things have succeeded.
I think it is a pretty cool project haha, just like the guy who started with a paperclip and traded it up until he had got something crazy like a car...i forget the details.

On the site it says "To make it more interesting the top 5 donators will recieve £25,000 each wow!." EDIT: I hope some of it goes to charity, if not all of it.
No i plan to keep every penny of course It will go to charity. THe fact it prob wont make it past 100 its just somthing Id thought id try. Charity in mind is cancer research btw. But hey only asking for pennys not 10£ or anything. even 1p just trying to break that 6 month barrier. Wasnt my original idea though someone gave me a nudge this direction just thought it be fun to try.
Contact people that are running mailing list about cancer or any charitable mailing list or something of the like. They may want to do free marketing for you and include your site in their next mailings for free~!
Interesting project. Can a person increase their donation if they get out bid during the 6 months? Or would I be stuck say, donating X+1 all over again if someone out bids my donation? Can I say, donate (Top Donation + $1, Top Donation + $2, Top Donation + $3) and scoop up all the prizes?
I would attach a blog to it to give it some heart and give people something to follow. Once you've done that you can get the Entrecard widget, advertise on Craigslist, write a PR and submit it, also an Ezine article might help.
Ah was you freekill thanks for donation. Well the idea is top 5 donators will get such and so money back if we make it to the end. Not expecting big donations even if its just 2 pence just anything to try reach the target. Prinzel never thought of making a blog for it. Prob would be the way to go. You need to consider your website look and idea. It almost looks like a pyramid scheme especially the part that says 25,000 pounds to the top 5 donators
Your signature on all the forums that you post on would be your best bet because you're asking for money like the "Milliondollarhomepage" guy did but he got famous for selling little blocks.
HI Make a video for the charity you want to raise money for .. and document everything you are sending them... get a reply from them and post it in your video... set a goal and work towards it.. to more open you are the more you make for your charity.. Thx Tom
