Create content that people actually want to read. It really is that simple. Find your niche then create content that solves the users problems.
Once you get some followers make it worth their while to come back. Don't just put general content on it, make it unusual, edgy, offend people slightly, get other people talking about your blog on other sites. Post some outrageous predictions and keep coming back to them etc, etc. There is so much information and crap out there that you have to be different to get people to notice you. For getting traffic to your blog you must have impressive content on your blog including relevant picture. Justify your blog content properly.
