Best ways to get comments...

In all my blogs I have good traffic, good and unique content but still few comments, what is the best way to get good and decent quality comments?

Share your opinion and tips please.

Do follow links !

 

They are already do follow, but I only see akismet blocking out spam ...

 

Quality posts and disregard spam comments even if you only get a few comments.

 

Also you could try asking your readers for opinion and encourage them to post their own thoughts and if they do, make them feel welcomed and try to answer back if possible.

 

write open posts, ones that require feedback or opinions from whoever may be reading it.

 

Only encourages other bloggers looking for backlinks, the average reader has no idea if a blog is "Do Follow", nor do they even care. Creating a discussion, or offering free tips usually spark some kind of comments, and sometimes, people just aren't going to no matter what you do.

I noticed with some blogs that have a well written bio box displayed with the article and a real picture (along with good content) get more comments than ones with a logo picture. Comments are personal feelings or observations, and it seems that it works better when there is a real person to direct a the comments to.

 

I agree with hmansfield you need to have "a call to action"

for example you was writing about a friends homepage that was hacked. ask your vistors for there experiences or if they are aware about hacking.

Do follow helps. I have got a lot of comments due to this. I listed my blogs at blog pages such as the two below.

I also comment on a lot of other blogs and this often gets the owners to come and comment on my blog and sometimes readers of these blogs will come and comment as well.

 

I have found some people make a list of do follow blogs along with their site and spread list all over the internet.

Maybe, you can try that stuff if you want.

 

Those targeted visitor will definitely drop a comment if they have something in mind which is not within your post, or if they find that your post really interesting.

Top Commenter is great, people are very competitive. But you also have to face the fact that a very small number of people are going to comment on most blogs. To encourage them, you can run a comment contest, also try having someone you know leave the "first" comment on a blog post. Many people hate being first.

 

I would say use dofollow and ask your visitors for their opinion.

Getting listed on the dofollow search engines and list can also get you more traffic.

 

Make sure your blog is dofollow, submit it to dofollow websites and ask questions at the end of each blog post! Good luck.

well the simplest thing is to ask for it... most posts usually are too generic so you always have to ask for readers opinion...
