Anyone know what are the best ways to get backlinks on MSN? What sites should I be working on? Spaces?!?
why would it not be worth it? google traffic is usually more web savvy, and researches. msn users are generally out of the box pc users (older people)
Does msn have any sites that it regards highly, like Google does with Wikipedia? Someone must have some tips for this.
In my experience, its just not worth the time to get backlinks from MSN. Its better to focus on Google and to a certain extent, Yahoo.
Right now only 1% of my traffic comes from them. Yahoo traffic makes up about 6%. I think it does depend on the niche/site because there are others that do quite well with these two engines. But I do think a lot of it is because they are slowly losing much of their traffic to Google. Because even when I rank #1 or #2 for some of my popular keywords in MSN I still don't bring in much more traffic from them... maybe a percentage more if that.
I get searched from Msn and yahoo alot since it takes time to get ranked really high on google for me. Just do blog comments and such with using anchor tech with your keyword inside. itll rank you high. I rank 1-2 for funniest videos on msn and page 5 on yahoo.
