Hey guys, I am in the process of starting a new company and want to know the best way to handle sending bills and receiving payments from customers. I'd prefer to not use Paypal as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Don't bother with Cryptocurrencies... too up and down.. As an entry and for simplicity you could use 2checkout.com
It depends on your business. For example, if you sell software, you may go with platform X, but if you sell hosting, you will want to use platform Y, and so on. That's because every platform operates slightly differently and some of them are only designed to sell a specific type of products. I see you were suggested to use 2co, which you shouldn't (it's sad NetStar keeps posting short, general answers on topics he has no understanding for). In other words, avoid using 2co. Once 2co was acquired by Avangate, they started closing many accounts of reputable businesses (some of them operating for 10+ years without a single chargeback) without any explanation. You will find hundreds of recent horror stores on the Internet, here are just a few of them: https://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1696722 http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1254029 https://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1691251
I see a lot of small businesses here in the US using the Square credit card reader on their smartphones for transactions. But if you are a storefront, talk to your bank about a merchant account which will set you up with a real credit card reader to sit next to your cash register.
My suggestion would be you can try to add any payment gateway modules to make your transactions easier.
