What exactly have you done with fb and youtube? Anyway, another good way is to bookmark your articles in popular bookmarking sites. Here is a good list: http://www.ebizmba.com/articles/social-bookmarking-websites Then add links to the bottom of your posts (where you already have the fb like, retweet etc) where users can digg, reddit, stumble etc, your articles. All these actions make your post rank higher in that particular bookmarking site and heightens the chance of others finding your article.
Figure out how the audience is reaching your article. If they're coming from search engines, then use SEO techniques to increase your ranking.
If your article is written correctly with SEO in mind then the readers are going to find it. If you got 1000 views already, how long did it take you? Keep doing more of the same thing. Why stop if its working?
