Best way to structure directories?

    I wouldn't know where to begin looking for this information so I am posting it here.
    Say my website is "freestuffs.com" (it isn't, just an example).. if I were offering free cosmetics, how should I structure the category for best SEO... like..
    freestuffs.com/free_cosmetics /free-cosmetics /freecosmetics, etc
    should it be an HTML page versus a directory? Dashes, underlines, one word?

    Any advice?

    they all are same. Ideally you want to keep it one word but /skin_care is much better than /skincare.
