Best Way to Stop Links Leaking PR?

    Hi,

I've published articles from other authors on my site. Under the terms and conditions it states that the links must be kept live? Does this mean that visitors should be able to click on it to visit the site it's linked too right?

So does that mean I can stop PR leaking from these links?

If so how do I stop PR leakage? For example: this page has a PR4 and 4 outgoing links. I don't want these links to leak my PR if I can help it.

Sorry I've never done much with robots except NOFOLLOW and NOINDEX so I'm a complete newbie when it comes to this!

    Thanks! :)

It seems to me that if you are using someone else's
intellectual property that you are legally and morally bound
by the conditions that they set. Enough people steal my
intellectual property to steal traffic from me that this is
    a particularly painful subject.

    best regards

If you dont want the links there then dont use the content.

Also dont get hung up on PR. Who cares if you link to other sites? Its not going to drop you in the SERPS and make you lose more money.

The people write these articles so that webmasters can freely use them on their sites and they will then receive a little credit back by gaining a few extra visitors, getting more link popularity and also getting a little increase in PR.

If you change the way the articles link to the authors sites mentioned in their bio or article then you are really not following the articles TOS and the author may notice that you have done it and will then email you telling you to change it.

Don't worry about "PR Leaks" - that is the least of your worries.

If you can't get over it, you may want to concentrate on creating your own content, thus eliminating the "leaking" concern.

I don't believe in pr leaking so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. Build the site for your visitors and the se's will follow. If providing that article will benefit your visitors and entice them to come back to your site again, then that is what you should be concerned with.

Also, when you post free articles as opposed to original content, you need to deal with the outgoing links that are associated with it.

Linking out to quality pages from your site with related topics and good keyword in link text seems to boost SERP. Guess its part of in-page SEO technique - I never worry about it - Really just want more traffic to my site and more income from it. Once that is sorted then you can adjust the site all over the place - Just sell outbound links rather than giving them away for free.
