    Hello,

So over the past few months I have noticed that the absolute best way to spend the couple hundred dollars that I have saved up for marketing was with blogs. I bought two links on two different blogs, PR5 and PR2.

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks,
    Nick

It depends what you are trying to do. plus if you bought links and they are no-follow then you just wasted your money. alot of blog articals you can make comments on which links back to your own website.

You would have been better off buying a place on the yahoo directory as google seems to rank that high, plus not many people use it as it costs so much.

You may have been better putting your money into a pay-per-click campaine atleast you would have been at the top of page one for a while

Don't buy links. Unless they meet Google's ever-changing, rigorous standards, you could be doing yourself a real disservice. All of the search engines (and Google especially) have come up with filters that can tell who's selling links, and they've started lowering the rankings for those sites. If you buy from them, you wind up being guilty by association, and your ranking could wind up lower than when you began. The only links that Google will let you buy have to come from sites approved by Google, and they have to be nofollow.

You can get quality links for free by article marketing, posting on relevant forums, even doing some guest blogging that's related to your niche. Even if you outsource the writing, it still wouldn't be very expensive, and it would be a much better use of your money than buying links.

It really depends. In your case if you are running poker sites then buying links from high traffic blog is a good choice. Gambling blogs have higher click through rate. If the blog is popular (traffic wise, not just PageRank), its worth spending your budget on it.
