As the thread title implies... what is the best method for seo'ing vBulletin? I've read about VBSEO - is that ALL there is to it? Can vBulletin be modded (url rewrites etc) WITHOUT resorting to paying for VBSEO, if so..where to find the necessary info? Thanks in adv for any tips/tricks you may know... James.
Sorry that this isn't a help, but I just wanted to tell you that I've been searching for the answer for this for YEARS, and all I ever hear is the same thing: there is no real way to do it beyond using that vbSEO thing (which has bad reviews, overall), and almost everyone will argue that vB is already search engine friendly. I would love to see SEF url's in an upcoming version (such as, page title as the URL), but I seem to be the minority on that, I guess.
Odd (isn't it) that they can't build a script with SEF url's right from the very beginning.... !! If vb is already search engine friendly...then why does VBSEO exist at all?
Bad reviews? With thousands of forums trusting only vBSEO for their vBulletin SEO, and thousands seeing tremendously positive results... and with "bad reviews" (few as they are) coming from those who haven't tried it... I would say that statement is quite inaccurate. vBSEO Works! http://www.vbseo.com/f55/1400-one-day-vbseo-18151/ http://www.vbseo.com/f55/how-did-vbseo-buy-young-entrepreneur-bmw-m3-luxury-car-11674/
Yea VBSEO Rules, I added it in site and made registration rates higher upto 600-700 New users per day and Traffic rate 8000 Per day.
