Best way to send money to hostgator without credit card from India

    Hello friends,
    i am from India i need to shift my host and i have plans to host my site with hostgator so how can i send money to them i asked western union they said they are not allowingg Indians to send money to Us due to Govt.. restrictions:confused: and moreover i dont have credit card

    You may use HDFC netsafe card too or any virtual credit card.

    If you don't have CC, get a paypal account. But again you need a CC to verify your paypal account.

    So, you can do two things:
    1) Ask any friend to make payment for you.
    2) Choose any other host, probable based in your country to pay using alternative methods like bank transfer, cheque etc.

    I recently shifted my site from dreamhost to Hostgator and i used PAYPAL - it works fine.

    regarding paypal i have some query
    i already have a verified paypal account which i verified thorough vcc but i heard from a forum that it has only limited time validity and its used for 1 time payment

    yes, yes yes, I have validated and withdrawl fund ever since paypal supporting bank transfer to India- probably from Nov. 2008

    Not sure about it, search on this forum, hope would get answer, but vcc is not safe, if you ever see validate using bank account then go for it!

    If hostgator has 2co as a gateway then u can pay by ur debit card. I have tried it with mine.

    i contacted western union they are not allowing money transfer from india to us though i can receive money from us to india due to some goverment restrictions and i asked hostgator they told me that they allow eft transfer from indian bank to us banks though i heard eft is for us banks only but the support executive said that to me
