you know what? try to backorder MotorSpa.com which is gonna be dropped tomorrow, and behold how much it will go for 3 days later. :)
if in any case those investors go blind, brain-washed or dead, and you end up getting the domain for $60, let me know, I will pay you $120 and you keep the domain:).

Let me guess, you are one of those guys who purchased the $3.99 ebook
"How to make a million in 30 days buying and selling domains" and counting the $3.99 investment, you are still in the red?

As I said, dropped domains will all have a new creation date. Bookmark your "motorspa.com" domain and check for the new creation date. Your problem seems to be that you don't even know what a dropped name is. Perhaps this is why you haven't been successful in any of your domain purchase attempts?

I have never heard of 'domain reservation' unless you are talking about pre-launching, like occurred with eu domains and others. Otherwise we could be talking about back orders

ok, as you "said, dropped domains will all have a new creation date", but you also said, "If a name was through network solutions, and a backorder was placed with SNAP prior to going through the pending delete, then it avoids this as the domain was never deleted." you just slapped yourself on the face. I am curious about what domains you backordered.

    i am tired educating n00bs.

Well the point is you don't believe people bid 5- 6-figure for dropped domains.

A dropped domain gets a new creation date - the sites you listed don't have new creation dates because they were never dropped.

Millions of domains are dropped each year and even if you could come up with a couple of domains that were sold for high dollar amounts, a fraction of 1/10 of a percent isn't the norm and has nothing to do with what the poster was asking.

Your suggestion of buying a dropped domain directly from the owner was stupid - because by definition, the owner no longer owns it. Going directly to a domain owner that you "think" might let a domain drop might work, but it also waives a flag in the owners face telling them the domain is about to expire and could be worth a lot of money.

You were the one that said you haven't had any luck using SNAP or POOL - I have, and many times. That's the difference. You're just a wannabe domain player with no experience and no understanding of the process. This is very clear and I've wasted too much time schooling you - and I won't be responding to any more posts. Be sure to check that creation date on that domain of yours, lol.

Well, copy and paste, just cuz you keep repeating and slapping your own face ::

Each year? More like each week! Well, I made my point in my first reply, and it was you who flamed me at first. But now, you are blaming me shamelessly.

The purpose IS to let the owner be aware of the expiration and have them renew and secure it. This way, you have a very high chance of getting it. This works exceptionally well with "exotic" domains like Laon.com, UncleSam.com, Jasmine.com. I am not talking about something like OhIDontThinkSnappyMakesAllThatMoney.com. Other than fighting against hundreds of bidders with millions of dollars EACH, you bring this up on to negotiation directly with the owner. This becomes an excercise of your pure marketing skills. It's possible to convince the owner to sell it for a fraction of the actual cost and that's not hard.

LoL!! When did I say I got no luck with snappy and pool? I only backorder exotic domains which are always backordered by others too. That's why most of them went into auctions. I didn't say I didn't bid :).
On the other hand, you flamed me to waste my time. If you continue to believe that you can actually "schooling" me, it's almost time for you to quit domaining. LMFAO!

At the end I hardly understand what you are talking about or perhaps is because I'm writing an essay while posting here.

Just feel this is kinda funny. Here's one of the dropped domain auction in progress. If it's a public auction, you can enter it at any time. See if you can join this one :).

i think your saying the domain still not gone to pending delete status.
eg: digitalpoint.com no longer active forum. owner dont need to renew it. without knowing this i try to register digitalpoint on godaddy. it says it registerd. i place a backorder (Before the domain Expire). then, when the domain gone to expire date past owner drops his domain, (still this domain does not gone to "Pending Delete") then godaddy register the domain for me. the domain is not expired and keeps the original creation date.

    did i understand correct?
