Best way to replace lost link?

Just lost a good PR 6 backlink (new owner took down links & redesigned). My site is relatively new still, not many high-quality links yet - this might have been the highest PR backlink so far.

I want to replace the lost link juice asap, but I am wondering: If I try to get another high-quality link right away, is that gonna look suspicious (even if it's not a paid/spammy link) since it's being added right as the other high-quality link disappears?

    Thanks!

It seems to me there is no problem. Only the link may be difficult to obtain.

There is really no problem. Just try to find good links.

You'll probably feel the effect soon, so you better find few good PR3-PR5 links to replace that link.

i would say this is the hardest part in link building, once the link is lost there is very less chance to get it back to the same place. Good luck on link hunting...

Agree with simple007. Very hard to recover the lost links. Try link building in high PR sites.

I agree, there is no way that replacing the lost PR6 backlink with another one might hurt you..
