Our aromatherapy steam units relax and soothe aching muscles at the end of a long hard day.

Writing copy is not my strong point. Thanks alot dirtdog for making me work so early in the morning ;)

I would make a simple page that you could change main keywords easily. Fit each one with an RSS feed.

Then have all of them link to one - kind of your own directory. And do a little promotion on that one. This way your being spidered and gaining PR for those 500 sites

Different IP's from different C-blocks all at different hosts seems to keep coming up everywhere I ask the same question.

    What do you guys think?

Remember that there are 400+ different domains and themes involved.

When I said the best way I meant the most efficient and search engine friendly and this may not be possible with sub-domains on the same hosting package.

Duplicate content could be a great problem also that should be considered.

Ay okay I got it. Whew write like a PhD compared to me. It would take me 100 years to write a hundred sentences like that - put that script of yours up on wiki... You will be a marketing hero. :)

I wouldn't bother with the IP's. Remember, they only become relevant when you're *linking* from one to the other. Sounds to me like you simply want to host the domains, with enough content per dom to be indexed and generate a little revenue.

    My suggestions:
Get yourself a hosting acct that allows parking unlimited doms. Point/park all the doms at the one acct. Write a script that checks for host (the dom they're requesting) and from this reference a pool of relevant keyphrases.. you'd need to do this yourself, create alist of relevant keyphrases per domain. Obviously you'll want to find some mid range ones (as in paying) etc

Then all you have to do is use Amazon's API to fetch (by keyword) editorials and reviews on related books. Each of your pages could include a random related editorial at the beginning and end of the page, generated at request time. Ensure your titles etc change accordingly.

I won't go into the details, but I have good reason for steering you in the direction of Amazon editorials and *reviews* (not the least of which is the human factor behind structures, spelling, stemming, semantics etc). It's like having your own staff..

The rest is up to you - prolly adsense, and a few queriable feeds, and of course, you'd want to link to Amazon per API TOS.

Next, linkage. There's no reason you can't service the lot with one link script.
I for one would like to be able to secure 400 Backlinks in one sitting, as would a lot of other WM's. This is something you can leverage.

The discovery process for that many doms on the one IP will take a while (prolly a couple of weks vs 48 hours), but since we're talking about (to start with) a single doorway page per domain, you should be netting a pretty penny within 60 days or so, assuming you address the usual on page SEO. Remember G will take it's merry time with this, so MSN is where you'll see the traffic initially.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers,

    JL

It actually took me about 3 weeks to write a mere 20 sentences along those lines and my secret tool was plagiarism. Can ya wiki that and get away with it?

BTW, 'freelance programmer miami' made it to the first page on Google. Now if I can only talk a lot of people into actually searching for that term..

What I did for one website to generate something like 10k pages was use a database to create my files. Each page was relatively simple, so I used a DB of keywords I had generated (along with other info) and had the DB make my pages.

Long story short-this is the easiest way to generate alot of pages quickly. BUT you need to know your SQL.
