When I first started this forum almost a year ago, I really thought it was a unique idea. It is a forum for people to discuss issues affecting them in their place of work, all they had to do was send a email to me requesting a board to be set up for their workplace where they and their work colleagues can talk freely and openly about things that are happening in work, without the threat of bosses or management being able to "vet" their opinions. There is only one company area that is really active, mainly because I work there! What can I do to encourage more people from different companies to join? Don't forget companies won't be too pleased about their staff venting their frustrations on a site they have no control over - so approaching companies directly is out of the question! I kind of fell out of love with this forum for a while, but it has just made it's first $100, so I am thinking of ways to get more people interested again. Any ideas would be appreciated guys. I know I have asked similar questions about this site in the past, but I am now looking for new ideas. Thanks, and the link is in my Sig
Why not make a general forum where people can vent without having to choose a workplace ? or make forums for some of the bigger employers in the UK Asda's , Tesco's (the ones that are everywhere)
Promoting this sort of site sounds like a hard task to be honest. Do people really want to chat about work stuff on a forum?
Sometimes people find it hard to talk to managers etc.... and those people sometimes have valid points they want to make about situations affecting them in work. By posting their views on a forum, not only can they get their views off their chest, but management can also read and take on board what is being said. Look at the situation with the postal workers at the moment, this site would be a ideal way for them to openly discuss what is happening to them at the moment. I'm just wondering the best way to get peoples attention to the site?
Hello, Make a couple of text related with your site, then submit it to social networking.. and add new content to your site to get traffic.
