    Using free ebooks as a platform for a content strategy related to an online business with both paid and free plans, what would you say are the best methods of promotion? Looking for any tips you may have, especially those who have successfully increased awareness through ebooks in the past.

    Here are some tips:

    1) Give people in your niche the opportunity to distribute your free ebook to others

    2) Submit to ebook directories

    3) Promote via free marketing

    4) Promote via paid advertising

    5) Offer a pay-per-subscriber affiliate program

    6) Make it your main "offer" on your squeeze page

    I haven't done an ebook yet but want to in the near future. However as far as it goes... Find your target audience which your ebook addresses. Attract them via forum marketing, blog commenting, twitter etc just in general find their communities where they hang out and get in front of their faces, be seen. Don't rely on Google. You could create videos, advertise on facebook or google and you could also give it out if they subscribe to your list.

    Make a torrent file with a proper description and link to your site and then send it up the pirate channels. Its the fastest way to put asses in seats.
