Best Way to Promote E-books?

I have over 100 e-books that I have rights to, as well as several I have written myself. I was thinking of selling the 100 e-books for about 10 bucks (they retail for between $27 and $97) each. Would this be best accomplished with a Web site, an e-mail list? What would you all recommend?

There's lots of competition for ebook packs.

Have you considered choosing just one main ebook that you want to promote, and adding others as bonuses - this works as long as the topics are related.

Pick your strongest title and promote that with a min-site and list: you can give people an ebook as a freebie, to build your list.

    Hope this helps.

I would have to agree with anbee. I personally would be more inclined to buy one ebook with bonuses if the content and advantages were marketed well, than a whole bunch of 1000 ebooks with that one ebook in it. Even if the single ebook was $10 and the 1000 ebooks were $5, I'd would be more inclined to buy the single ebook

You might have some success creating a simple one page site and using Google Adwords to sell them. Another easy option is to just try selling them on eBay. I sold an eBook awhile back and had descent success using adwords.

To go even further, if you're a good writer, try and find an interesting topic without to much competition and write about it. Include some affiliate links within the ebook. You can earn even more this way, especially if the affiliate pays out a high price.:)

depending on your subject matter, you could target industry magazines with a small ad promoting your ebook.

ClickBank is also a powerful way to get loads of people selling your ebook for you. (probably not so good for the resale rights ones)

Also you could create a 30 second infomercial letting the viewer know about the value of your ebook pack. Let me know if you need help with that?

chatterboxwriting, I think it doesn't make sense promoting 100-books pack, you should think first about who your customers are and how to find them, e.g. find your tight niche. It is important as ebook market is overheated.

For instance, there are a huge number of books about internet marketing. I wrote another one, but focused on niche that I think is not covered well (article marketing), as a result I'm getting few sales\month without any special promotion and big funds.
