So I've found a niche that I think could be profitable...it doesn't look too saturated and there doesn't appear to be MASSIVE competition. It's primarily dominated by 1 big vendor. I contacted them to see if they offer dropshipping and their account manager said that they do, but before they go into wholesale prices, they have to see a business license and storefront. It sounds like he's not taking me seriously.

Don't I need sales lit/pictures and all of that jazz from him in order to build the storefront out?

    What would you guys do?

It's normal for them to ask for this kind of information. Provide it, and you will get an account with them. Easy

I think they are testing you.
They only want to deal with those company that have resources not one man show company.
Its nesseccary to prevent any damage the company product reputation.

There's a lot of industries that do not allow any resellers that are online only. If you're seeing very little competition, then it is likely that it is the case with this one as well. The manufacturers are basically protecting their retail customers. In cases like this, it is extremely tough to get an exception.
