I'm working on my blog and it is sports related. I want to post news about my club. Should I copy and paste an article from a news agency with a source link or "copy" it without the source? What's the most common practice?

What I am doing is taking only 1/4 of the article and posting the link after that for the whole article.
What would I do is get get a lot of news from different resources. Try to comment on the articles. Express your opinion.

Are you asking about copyright issues?

Remember, if it isn't in an RSS, it isn't intended for syndication..

I guess copyright is the problem here. Would be okay with a link? I can't rewrite all the news, that would take too long.

I think it's ok as long as you link back to the original articles or source of the news.

It's not okay. If you do not have permission to reproduce the content (and this includes a syndication license posted on the host site), reproducing the content will be a violation of copyright laws. There are exceptions, but they are not as wide-ranging as one would think.

Getting a few excerpts from the post and add in your own opinion is the best since your opinion is what a blog is all about.

If your blog has only copy and paste stuffs, your readers might as well go to the source and don't come back. You might get into copyright trouble as well.
