Hello, I'll be brief as possible.

I Have an imagehost Server that is running centos 5 with cpanel and want to change providers. What is the best way to transfer all 50,000 Images from one server to another?

    thanks for any help

Go with rsync as mentioned or simply use built-in WHM option to transfer accounts, if you are not familiar with console.

That is a loaded question. What is more important? Speed or Bandwidth usage. SCP copies really slowly. It is better to use SSH to copy. Try this

    tar cjvf - /path/to/files/to/transfer | ssh user@100.100.100.100 -C 'tar xjvf - -C /'

This works really well for me. That is what you use if you are worried about using too much bandwidth. Do not use the j in there if you are not worried about bandwidth. That will speed up your transfers quite a bit as well. Makes it much less CPU intensive as well.

    Good luck,

    Fred

i seen from your post that you useing cpanel

cpanel is very good cp for trasver file and mysql without any issue

also is your other provider also haveing whm installed? then from whm

Under trasver > Copy multiple accounts/packages from another server

this is the best method to trasver files
