I'm getting to the stage where monitoring the various link exchanges and other important links is getting to be a real headache. At the moment I have everything in a spreadsheet and have to check the links one by one manually. I am wondering how other people monitor their backlinks and if you're using any particular software that you would recommend? UPDATE... I've found something called "Backlink Checker Utility" but it's a bit basic and costs $69 (which is a bit steep in my opinion). http://www.backlinks4me.com/backlinks4me/backlink-checker.html There is also "Advanced Link Manager" which looks too complex for my needs and is also a bit pricey (costs between $99 and $399 depending on what version you get). http://www.advancedlinkmanager.com/ I've also found some online services that offer to manage your backlinks (again not what I want but maybe useful to someone else)... http://www.linkmanagementsoftware.com/ http://www.backlinked.com/ http://www.backlinkreporter.com/
I still use spreadsheet. Most of the free backlink checkers probably only checks the active websites that link to you, or those that are recently updated.
There's this Link Manager website which i've used before, not sure if the owner still maintains the site though.
As for me, I prefer to use ActyMac DutyWatch. DutyWatch is a computer monitoring and recording program that is capable of capturing every program used, every website visited, every keystroke made, even every instant message chat. http://www.actymac.com/dutywatch
I use fastblogfinder and just drop the links into the list, and run the check. it also finds u blog, so all in one package.
