I am not sure if its good, bad OR average traffic anyone gets, but I think its an average.. besides using google adsense, how you think once can monetize a site like that, to be more specific, its a web design related forum and tons of quality content... will not share the link becuase of many reasons.. please share your ideas and advise.. PS : I am sorry if this is not the right FORUM for this sorta quesiton, mods please move it to appropriate forum and I will follow it..
you could try a CPM program like tribal fusion or advert-revenue they pay $1 cpm for text banners. 10k per day isn't bad at all.
- Try some template affiliate programs. - Sell webdesign related eBooks - Try with designing software(Photoshop...)affiliate - Open webdesign company and use forum for branding - Contact webdesign companies and try to sell them banner ads.
There are many opportunities besides adsense to Monetize. If your site is a particular niche site, find related affiliate programs and promote them. Besides PPC from widgetbucks, PPP from auctionads etc. There are many. It all depends upon the kind of site you are having. I think you got good traffic. You can make good money selling banner ads charged per thousand impression. I got ripped off by somebody here at DP. Spending $15 I had 4 clicks
If that site is actually getting that many hits, around 300,000 a month, it is good enough for the big advertisers, like credit cards, car dealerships, and so forth. If that site can hit 1,000,000, these advertisers will pay top dollar.
It depends... How many pages does the site have? The more pages, the more ads that can be placed. Who is advertising on that site. American Express, for example, would pay at least $300.00 a month to have their ads on pages young adults, like college students, visit. Well, according to how the site looks, and so forth. Hell, even charging a low $200 per placement can add up! Can you imagine having, say...20 advertisers at that rate? Man, that's $4,000a month! Then turn around to use that for buying feeds on news, funny, picture and stories to keep the viewers coming back, so it satisfies the advertisers. Even with 300,000 uniques, site owners should be calling up the big advertisers on the phone.
adversal popunders pay $1.20 per 1000 popunders... if you don't mind anoying your visitors. 10 * $1.2 = $360/month guaranteed + any extra $ from links/adsense.
I don't know your niche...but google adsense have now videos...if they can do anything for you...amazon can be something also
CPA affiliate networks is another option that you can use. You can earn per lead from theses and your visitor doesn't even have to spend money for your to earn per lead. For zip or email offers you can earn anywhere from $0.35 - $2.25+ per lead.
I tend to agree with Perry Rose ... if anything I would say use a combination of Affiliate marketing and Advertising, they will add up to a nice chunk of change. Just make sure they are targeted to your site.
In addition and summarisation to the above very good suggestions, especially by Perry Rose... CPA + CPM + CPC + Flat-fee Advertising... These are the million dollar strategies online, unless you plan on selling something of your own...
