Best way to market to online businesses/websites? $150 Budget right now

Hi - I've just finished adding everything my site needed to be fully operational. www.LinkGoggles.com is a directory with a twist--it randomizes everything so you never really know what you are going to get. The thing is, I need a way to drive more webmasters to my site and to take part in it. I have a $150 budget, I've submitted articles to Digg.com and a free press release to a few sites, but I haven't seen numbers like I was hoping. I've also heard Google AdSense wont help much, but I made an account anway. Anyone with any good ideas? Thanks.

so each page is random? Hmmm. you could have a contest where whomever's website is on the front page a specific date and time will win cash. You could promote the contest on this and other webmaster forums.

You would get alot of webmasters to sign up quickly if you did that.

I don't want to be negative but here is my problem with the concept you have going. The underlying idea behind a web directory is that it organizes websites under specific categories to help people find what they are looking for. So for instance, if I want to find a site on Humor...I would click on entertainment and then humor (example).

The first problem I see is how are you going to convince and/or target someone looking for 6 random links....as opposed to using Googles' "I'm Feeling Lucky" button or Stumble Upon. So that takes care of visitors. Secondly, what benefit are you going to provide webmasters if their links are being displayed randomly? You can see that there is a demand for paying more to have a link displayed above others...i.e. featured links....and thats why "King of the Bill" works (as a twist). The same goes for traffic and SEO benefit....since the link is being served at randomly and is not static.

Before you rush into spending the $150 I would suggest that you re-evaluate the concept and think about the points I mentioned. Otherwise, you will spend the money, get a surge in traffic, and never see another visitor again.

site is professional so no problem.you have to market in live i mean word of mouth and classifieds in newspapers - you will get real visitors.
Other than use social bookmarking - i suggest stumbleupon.com and blinkl
Write articles and submit to squidoo and other article directory - will help you to get backlinks.
Sell any ebook type and list in ebay or clickbank it will bring you some visitors.
    Thats my advice.
    Good luck -

I like the idea of a random directory. Maybe make it more statistics based though. For example the more hits people send to you, the more likely they are to be featured.

To be honest, I think your site might need a visual renovation. As it stands, it doesn't look extremely professional, which means that many webmasters might avoid using it.

    Good luck,

I agree that your concept isn't good. It isn't interesting to visitors and it isn't interesting for webmasters either.
